The Parkland High School Literary Magazine is Parkland's creative writing outlet. Students write about anything in different mediums such as poetry, short stories, and book reviews. Our main goal is to show how great creativity in writing can be and to showcase some amazing work!
Meet the Writers
Gianna Rivera
Gianna Rivera is a Junior at Parkland and the Editor-In-Chief for LitMag. Ever since she was a kid, journalism and law have taken a large role in her life. She has volunteered at different organizations such as Curriculum for Covid and EIU, teaching law classes to kids in grades 7 through 9. Since then, she has also written for different publications such as the Trumpet Newspaper and LitMag. Her favorite part about writing is being able to share her story and what she is passionate about.
Anastasia Iosue
Anastasia Iosue is a Senior at Parkland. She has enjoyed journalism ever since she was a little girl. Since then, she has written for various publications including Lit Mag, Trumpet Newspaper, Change by Gen Z, and more. Her favorite part about writing is “being able to touch others with words.”
Ankush Sen Sarma
Ankush Sen Sarma is a Freshman at Parkland High School joining the Literary Magazine team for his first year. Apart from writing, Ankush also likes to play soccer and video games. His main goal is to play soccer professionally one day.
